Market Briefer (“we”, “our”) publishes market news and educational content at marketbriefer.com. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect and why.
Information you give us
- Contact form. If you write to us through the contact page, we receive your name, email address, topic, and message so we can respond. These messages are stored in our email inbox.
- Comments. Where comments are open, WordPress stores the name, email address, and comment text you submit, plus technical details (such as your IP address and browser information) used for spam prevention.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand readership — for example, which pages are viewed, approximate location, and device and browser type. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and processes this data under Google’s own privacy policy. You can opt out using Google’s opt-out tools or your browser’s cookie controls.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records basic technical information, such as IP addresses and request times, for security and reliability.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies: those set by Google Analytics, and standard WordPress cookies (for example, to remember comment-form details if you choose). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may work less smoothly if you do.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not run user accounts or a newsletter at this time, so we do not keep reader profiles.
- We do not currently display third-party advertising. If that changes (for example, Google AdSense), advertising partners may set their own cookies to serve and measure ads, and we will update this policy to name them.
Children
Market Briefer is a general financial-news publication not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Email marketbriefer@gmail.com and we will respond.
