3 liquidity measures that matter before crypto price momentum

Turnover, market depth and funding conditions provide more context than a price move viewed alone.

Price is observable; liquidity is conditional. A market can appear active while remaining fragile if orders are thin or leverage is concentrated.

Three measures

  • Turnover relative to market size
  • Order-book depth around the quoted price
  • Funding rates and leverage concentration

Each measure asks a different question: how much trades, how much can trade without moving the price, and how much activity depends on borrowed exposure.
